Initial Pager Setup

Enable Pager Maintenance and the Pager Driver Interface for all classes that require access in the Back Office.

1. Open the Back Office.
2. Click the Maintenance icon.
3. Click Class Maintenance.
4. Select the Class that requires access to Pager Maintenance from the drop down.
5. Click the Security button.
   
6. In the Class Security Profile window, check the Back Office check box to activate Back Office permissions.
7. In the Back Office Maintenances list, check the Pager Maintenance check box.
8. In the Back Office Interfaces list, check the Pager Driver check box.
   
9. Click OK.
10. In the Class Maintenance window, click File > Save.

Configure the pager to communicate with FPOS.

1. Open the Back Office.
2. Click the Settings icon.
3. Click System Settings.
4. When the System Settings window appears, click the Settings tab and then the Hardware Settings tab.
5. In the Pagers options:
   • Select the port the pager is connected to from the Pager Controller Comm Port drop down.
   • In the Pager Controller Type, select your device.
6. Click File > Save.
   

You will need to run the Pager Driver Interface after you have configured your Back Office settings. You should only need to complete this step after initial setup. FPOS will automatically run the Pager Driver upon start up after the initial setup has been completed.

1. Open the Back Office.
2. Click the Interfaces icon.
3. Click Pager Driver to run the Pager Driver Interface.
